May is here, and it's Mental Health Awareness Month. While we often celebrate the bold, the bright, and the busy, it’s the quiet shades in between that often reveal the true story.
This month, I'm keeping things simple—black and white.
 
Not just in photos, but in mindset.
As someone who helps people design the lives they want through where and how they live, I know the inside matters just as much as the outside.
 
So today, I’m simply reaching out—not as a realtor, but as a person.
In a world that feels unpredictable, how do you make sure to prioritize your mental health?
 
Most of us are juggling a lot these days, and it can feel like there’s always something pulling us in different directions. But what do you do—whether it's a daily routine, a moment of self-care, or just setting boundaries— to stay grounded and take care of yourself?
 
If you’re not sure where to start, begin with the basics:
  • Create a checklist to help you prioritize yourself
  • Schedule that physical check-up you're behind on
  • Take a good look at your finances, and map out your time to get more organized.
Small steps toward clarity can make a big impact on your overall well-being
Turning off the pressure to perform -The 10 ways I find balance:
  • Moving my body just to feel, not to fix
  • Remembering I’m not behind—just on my path
  • Keeping my space clean—it helps clear my mind
  • Noticing what drains me—and subtracting it, slowly but surely
  • Curating my time and energy like my life depends on it—because it does
  • Eat whole, real foods as often as possible — what you eat literally becomes your mood and your energy
  • Stay hydrated — sometimes what feels like exhaustion or sadness is just dehydration
  • Being more present and slowing down enough to actually experience the moment you're in
  • Always take the high road - be the bigger person and choose peace over pride and integrity over being right.
  • Stay focused on what you want and what truly matters—work relentlessly, shut out the distractions, and don’t let anyone stand in your way
I hope some of this resonates with you today. Just remember, you are not alone. Pay attention to the people who check in on you when all you want to do is shut down. If someone is reaching out their hand, take it. We all need a little support sometimes, and it’s okay to lean on others when you’re struggling.
